Over the past 20 years, Dr. Gather Williams II (Dr. G) has lived a renaissance-like career spanning across fields like business management and development, marketing, corporate training and speaking, coaching, consulting, counseling, writing, music production and songwriting, as well as community outreach.
Dr. Williams is a BEST SELLING AUTHOR, in “The Art and Science of Success, Vol. 7.” He also authored 2 Amazon published ebooks: “Short Codes, and How to Use Them”, and “The QR Code and Everything You Need to Know About It.” His fourth book, “Is Your Husband Married?,” was published in May of 2013. He also has an ebook, “The Most Important Ingredient for ANY Successful Relationship” that was released in December of 2012. He is a Certified Self Esteem Reinvention Expert, a Life, Relationship, and Business Coach, and he holds a certification as a Christian Counseling Professional.
He is also an International music recording artist, and, during his music career, he worked with well-known artists ranging from R&B to Rock, and Jazz to Gospel. He has written more than 2,000 songs, many of which have been under the BMI label. He plays drums, percussion, keyboards, and bass, and was the lead singer and musician for “OutFront,” a group that was later signed on the Gold City Records label, led by Chris Jasper of the famous Isley Brothers.
Dr. Williams founded Agape Records Group, an independent record label that released his solo CD entitled, “A Work in Progress.” Later, under the Universal/Fontana label, he released a CD of love songs called “So Committed.” In 2013, his single, “I’m Fighting for You,” will be released internationally to highlight the human trafficking problem around the world.
In his early years, Dr. Williams served in the US Army. He went on to gain his undergraduate degree from Southern Illinois University, and also attended several colleges of higher learning on music scholarships. Later, Dr. Williams obtained a Masters, a Doctorate degree, and the prestigious title of Diplomat from Friends International Christian University.
Within his nonprofit organization, “Boys to Men,” he helps young men find and manifest their true passion and purpose. As the founder of “Operation Overcoat” he has helped many homeless men and women stay warm in the winter through coat, hat, and blanket donations from people all over the United States. He continues to volunteer with several Ministries and nonprofits, while serving as Executive Director for his own nonprofit, “The Lula Williams Hope Center,” which is a restoration safe haven for troubled teens.
He has started, owned, or held corporate positions with over 50 different companies. As the owner of the Dallas Christian Counseling Center (DCCC), Dr. Williams has counseled many adults through addiction, conflict resolution, marital and pre-marital issues, and sexual health problems.
Dr. Williams is both a member and former leader within several organizations, including: Kappa Alpha Psi International Fraternity, Alpha Phi Omega National Service Organization, DFW Marketing, Dallas Interactive Marketing Association, and The Association of Christian Counselors.
